A restored boardwalk village on pilings over Johnstone Strait, with historic waterfront houses, cabins and lodge rooms let out to guests, and a small-craft marina beneath them. This is a tender-and-runabout dock rather than a yacht harbour: 25 feet is the limit, there is gas but no diesel, and no services at the slip. It is also the jumping-off point for the strait’s whale water and the Broughtons beyond.

Getting there. Telegraph Cove is a narrow notch on the Vancouver Island shore of Johnstone Strait, north of Robson Bight — the strait runs hard and the wind funnels, so time the passage and expect whale-watching traffic all summer. The resort marina takes boats to 25 feet only, with premium octane gas on the dock but no diesel anywhere in the cove, and no power or water at the slips. Open May to September. A fire on 31 December 2024 destroyed the pub, restaurant and interpretive centre; the docks and pilings were untouched and the resort reopened on 1 May 2026, with the rebuilt restaurant and pub due later in the season — confirm what is running before you count on dinner ashore. Always carry official charts and current Notices to Mariners.
